I didn't make it that year. I would have gone to the term after this one, but didn't for some reason, and I still regret it. 1971 obviously ROCKED.
My friends and I called this photo "count the fingers." You can see why. This was the year of furtive contemptuous gesture.

The idea was to act, like, REAL CASUAL and when the photographer said "say cheese, kids" you immortalize yourself.
