Ninth and tenth grade. Everybody's older, and for the counselors it must have been a little more rewarding. More actual counseling, less guard duty.
I thought I'd mention Braxton. I didn't know him well, but thought he was pretty cool. One time after I played my guitar in some kind of end-of-camp show, he told me "You're gonna be great some day." I'm not, but I've never forgotten the comment.
Raymond was another one of the hat guys, and the drummer in my first band (the name of which is too dumb to repeat).
Donnie's new girl that year was Kaye, from Lubbock. She was great, and I liked her sister Martha, too.
Here's Tammy. We've managed to keep up through the years, and are still friends.
